The big graphic design competition

Do you have artistic talents but don’t yet know how to turn your design into a WordPress theme?

The WordPress Magazine is offering you the chance to win a theme made from your own design!  All you have to do is make a mock-up using your favourite graphics program.  The winner will be chosen from a readers’ vote in Issue 4, giving you plenty of time to enter.

How to enter

To enter simply upload your design to Flickr and tag it with wpmag1 (that’s a figure “one”).  It will automagically be shown below!  If you don’t have a Flickr account you can easily create one, but if you really don’t want to use Flickr then send in your design by email and it will be uploaded for you.  If you’re concerned about someone stealing your design then use a low resolution image (640px wide will be fine, but make sure you keep a copy of the full size image).  The closing date for entries is the end of Sunday 9th November 2008, in the timezone that leaves that day last (UTC -12).

Prize details

The winning design will be turned into a WordPress theme and made available for you and others to download!  The competition requires that you allow us to release your theme under the GPL (the same free software license that WordPress is released under - so anyone is allowed to use it) and upload it to the official WordPress Theme Directory.

Entries that have been sent in so far

Nothing shown below?  You had better get on and add your own entry then!

That is a great reward for winning the competition. When does the contest end?

I’m afraid the competition sort of got abandoned. It clashed with a similar competition on a WP themes site, so I’ve cancelled it.
