Well, don't end up in the snow! Its cold up there already!

My mom went through S.D. she was about 2-3 days ride from home, but that's Oregon for us... so Washington is probably a bit closer to 2 days ride in.

Nick, you seem like the kind of guy I'd like to share a beer a campfire and some stories with. All the best on heading into the wild this coming spring. I'll be keeping an eye on you.

Cheers.

Hey there! I've been to your website and talked with you on #wordpress so I know what to expect, now that I understand more and have badgered your head! :P

I'm not here to tell you that you're wrong, that isn't what community is about and I know you've said you lived in the Pacific Northwest in the past (I've been living in the P-Northwest all my life!).

"Pacific Northwest is a great place to live. It stays about sweatshirt weather year round. Also you are always within a half hour from salt water and mountains at all times."

I know you're speaking generalization here, and for the most part its true mind you if you go inland you might find yourself sweating in the summertime or further away from the coast at least in Oregon/Washington in some areas.

"I highly recomend you all get out and get a blog of your own, and spend the nine bucks for a domain name you can be proud of. Free hosting is very prevalant. You will get the full benifit and experience as well as satisfaction of creating something yourself from the ground up."

I agree with you, while there are abundant free hosting I wouldn't necessarily recommend free hosting for WP not that they don't work or that they are crap or anything (I actually liked www.000webhost.com, except WP was difficult to install and some things just didn't work right (and I think I know why now too, because its happening to me again on my paid host (although VERY chronic on 000webhost.com).

Website hosting is relatively cheap nowadays you don't need a lot of webspace either... 1-5GB is all you need just for a basic ground up start, if you're going to host images you still might not need more than 1-5GB anyway because you can store hundreds if not thousands of photos depending on their image sizes.

I've already been wanting a blog long before I met you, I just never bothered in fact I've wanted to update my site as it had been years... well I finally did it! (click on my name willya!).

Ok last bit I want to share, I've always loved to travel and see the things I've never seen before but I would only do it via points I was familiar with and anything in between I was already on a train/bus/airplane so I knew I couldn't go wrong traveling where I had family, well I want to travel on an adventure and this is a whole new world for me as I have no family or friends where I'm going and so there has been a lot of discussion with friends and family many are "in-directly" against it. I still have my blog for when I do go, I'll keep you all posted.
